POSITION: Executive Director in training

REPORTS TO: Executive Director


Encourage, promote and protect business development, business growth, economic prosperity, and the overall health and welfare of the Evergreen Community.

Salary: 38k-45k depending on experience.


Special Events

  • Jointly with the current Executive director, oversee the planning, organization, and execution of all ECOC Special Events, Monthly board meetings, Committee Meetings, Monthly Energizers, Ribbon Cuttings, and Educational Luncheons.
  • Propose and develop new events to keep the chamber relevant and that directly serves our mission statement.

Marketing, Promotion, and Growth

  • Keeping the Chamber relevant and on a continuous growth trend.
  • Proficiency in all social media platforms to utilize for marketing and promotion of the chamber.
  • Comfortability with public speaking, one on one networking, and interviewing with local news outlets.
  • Understanding of Marketing through local news outlets such as Radio, Television, and Print publications.
  • Continuous promotion of the chamber.
  • Ability to apply for grants to assist with marketing and promotion of the chamber.

Ambassador Relations and Development

  • Leading our ambassador team in recruitment and retention. Keeping our volunteer team strong, organized, accountable, and engaged.

Member Relationships

  • Maintain a good relationship with chamber members. With frequent communication, and in person visits.
  • Ensure all chamber benefits are being fulfilled.
  • Promote and utilize Chamber members.
  • Recruit new members and retain current membership.

Other Duties as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned by the chamber board or current executive director.


- Full Time

This position is a FLEX-TIME between 35 to 40+ hours per week.

Evening/Weekend Hours may be required for special events

Skills and Requirements:

  • Must have current Montana’s Drivers’ License and personal car available for business use. A car must be insured, and proof of insurance provided annually. Driving record will be reviewed through background check.
  • Strong customer service skills to support interaction at all levels of the organization. Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in social media, technology, proficient computer skills, creation, and distribution of documents via email and hard copy.
  • Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds and negotiate stairs.
